Instructions:
These photos are 13 years old, and I love the fresh, updated look I got from the Basic Grey Skate Shoppe papers. I created a 2-page layout for 7 photos, and began by selecting the "McShifty" circle paper for the left page background because the design worked well with the baseball theme. The background paper for the right page is "Hemlock".
For the design of the pages I cut the "K-Stall" striped paper into 2 strips - 12" x approx. 2" - to go vertically on the left side of both pages. And a larger strip 12" x 6" to go horizontally near the bottom of the left page. The large square of "Alias" paper for the right page is 10 1/2 x 10 1/2".
For the title I chose the "b" monogram to use for the 1st letter of both "Braves" and "Baseball". For the title words I used both Alpha & Stamp Alpha rub-ons. I also added some stars and dot rub-ons in a few circles of the patterned paper for extra interest. The circle tag with the year becomes the center focus of the right page and also brings a bit of that circle patterned paper to the left page.
Only 2 of the photos were matted with the "9-Iron" brown paper to draw the brown color across both pages. I also used the ink to edge everything - - all the cut pieces of paper, the photos, the mats, the monogram, and the tags. I really like the contrast when all the elements are outlined with ink, so I do it on most of my layouts.
Photo sizes: left page - focal photo 5 1/2 x 6 1/2" ; face photo 3 x 4" ; odd-shaped photo 1 1/2 x 5"
right page - two 4 x 6" photos ; one 3 x 3" photo ; and a photo cut to fit the tag.
I wrote descriptions next to most of the photos, and hand-wrote my journaling up the side of the layout on the plain piece of "Hemlock" paper.
