paper: Basic Grey Lucky
2 - Destiny
2 - Kismet
1 - Iris

cardstock: Bazzill - Pearberry & Starlight
monograms: Basic Grey Lucky
rub-ons: Basic Grey Wholly Cow Silver
ink: Ranger - Tim Holtz Distress ink - Black Soot
font: Arial Narrow MS

I used a Becky Higgins sketch.

For the left page I used a whole piece of Destiny paper, mounted 3
vertical photos on Pearberry Bazzill, & added 2 strips of Kismet
above & below. I added a rectangular piece of Pearberry for the
"THE" rub-on letters. (I outlined them in black pen because they
weren't showing up well on the Pearberry)
for the right page I used a whole piece of Iris paper for the background,
a rectangular piece Destiny for an accent, the other piece of Pearberry
for 3 horizontal photos (notice it isn't big enough, so I added a strip of
Kismet to fill out the mat for the photos.) The journaling was done on
a piece of Pearberry cardstock, and was mounted at the bottom of the
Destiny accent piece.
for the title I used 2 monograms, inked them, and cut out a freehand
shadow out of Starlight Bazzill. The rest of the title words & the date
are silver BG rub-ons on Starlight, backed with Pearberry.
I inked everything on the page with Black Soot Distressed Ink.

Journaling:
Every year the city of Jefferson, Georgia puts on a Halloween
Walk for the children. In the late afternoon they arrive in their
costumes and parade around the downtown area, stopping at
different merchants to Trick Or Treat for candy. Since we don't
have any kids come to our home on Halloween I decided to
take my camera to get some Halloween photos. I was
amazed by how crowded the little downtown area became,
and was also amazed by how hot it was that day - 80 degrees
and high humidity. After all it was the last week in October!
I saw some really cute costumes - Dorothy, The Hulk,
Scarlet O'Hara; but I felt really sorry for the little kids in those
furry tiger costumes. They must have been roasting!
I was really pleased with my little photo session. I got some
pretty fall displays, some great shots of the old court house
and grounds, plus some fun Halloween shots to scrap.
I paid the price for that two-hour walk around the concrete
sidewalks though. It was really rough on my arthritis and
fibromyalgia, and I was basically stuck at home for a week
afterwards. Live and learn.

Thanks for looking!
Carolyn
