Photos of my Mom on graduation day 1937. Also her senior yearbook photo.I thought I'd try something completely different for me - - using the heritage photos with brand new paper with bold patterns. I actually kind of like it. :)
paper: Three Bugs in a Rug: Spicy
Stripes, Gusto, & Chamomile
cardstock: Bazzill
Java, Barkley, & Stonewash
stickers: Three Bugs in a Rug: ChitChat
ink: Ranger - Tim Holtz Distressed Walnut Stain
I used 2 sheets of Java Bazzill for the backgrounds. I cut the 3 Bugs in a Rug papers
into different sized strips (Stripes, Gusto, & Chamomile) For the left page I layered 3
different strips together on the bottom half of the page. I double-matted the 5 x 7" photo
with Bazzill Barkley & Stonewash and inked all edges. I added a 3 Bugs sticker in the
bottom corner for an accent. The title letters were cut from the Gusto paper.
For the right page I used another 3 strips of pattern paper, putting the Stripes paper
horizontally (matted with Stonewash), and the Gusto & Chamomile strips vertically on
the right edge. I took 3 varied sized photos and put them randomly on the page; matting
one with Barkley and one with Stonewash. The other I left unmatted. All edges were inked.
I used a phrase sticker and a circle sticker for accents.
Thanks for looking!
Carolyn
